Beauty From the Flames That Never Fade: A Fierce Warrior’s Poetry Memoir of Life, in Reverse. Broken, Molded, Healed, and Made Whole in God’s Presence

My motivation for creating this poetry book began with a promise I made to my late father. Over time, I realized that my deeper purpose is to offer you hope, joy, comfort, and new perspectives, and to help you discover new ways to live beyond what you are currently experiencing.Poetry was my therapy. It was how I navigated life as a youth, as a young adult, and as an adult still learning to truly be myself. It was how I processed emotions and events in my life, and how I became who I am today. I want you to see that just because you view your life one way does not mean that is the only way it can be. I want you to know how loved and cherished you are by your friends, family, and God. I also hope to share my journey as a poet and strengthen my own confidence in offering my life experiences to you. I write because I believe in connection—between people who share a space and those who are brave enough to see themselves in someone different.This labor of love comes straight from my heart. It gathers poems written between the ages of 14 and 44. While it doesn’t include every poem I’ve ever written (far too many, and some meant only for certain eyes), I selected these pieces to be engaging, meaningful, and true to the core intention of this project: to help you see that hope is always near.
